June Hammock Pack

I finally broke down and got myself a Hammock Pack after seeing so many great reviews. For those who don't know what the hammock pack this is a brief description:
Every month, you’ll receive a surprise pack filled with everything you need to take a much-needed getaway without even leaving your home. Whether it’s as simple as a movie night or mementos from that exotic vacation you can’t find the time to take. So relax and let a little “me time” come to you.

every month hammock pack has a different "theme" this month it was "Lake House"
with the breeze flowing through your hair, fresh water at your feet, and sun shinning on your face, a visit to the lake house is the perfect getaway for June While you're relaxing on the dock or sailing around in the boat, be sure to bring a good book, snacks, and products to keep your skin fresh. After your trip to the lake, we hope you're nice and rested for next month's doorstop getaway....

the first look into my mental vacation...

Where'd you GO, Bernadette by Maria Semple paperback $9.37 on Amazon (sale price I think)
this looks like a good read, but NOT something I would have picked for myself at all... so I am happy to have it. Arrived just in time for my treatment time this weekend (I can knock out a book in one day easily when stuck in bed)

Bernadette Fox is notorious. To her Microsoft-guru husband, she's a fearlessly opinionated partner; to fellow private-school mothers in Seattle, she's a disgrace; to design mavens, she's a revolutionary architect, and to 15-year-old Bee, she is a best friend and, simply, Mom.
Then Bernadette disappears. It began when Bee aced her report card and claimed her promised reward: a family trip to Antarctica. But Bernadette's intensifying allergy to Seattle--and people in general--has made her so agoraphobic that a virtual assistant in India now runs her most basic errands. A trip to the end of the earth is problematic.
To find her mother, Bee compiles email messages, official documents, secret correspondence--creating a compulsively readable and touching novel about misplaced genius and a mother and daughter's role in an absurd world.

The Good Bean all natural chickpea snacks Sea Salt flavor $ 2.69
I love chickpeas pretty much anyway I can get them and these are a special favorite so I am super happy to have these. Gluten free, high in fiber, low in calories, crunchy, salty and addictive...need I say more?

Blum naturals organic cucumber & Aloe daily cleansing and makeup remover and towelettes 10 pack $2.80
I haven't tried this brand of facial wipes yet, but I like that they are organic (I am REALLY trying to be better about  using organic, all natural stuff when I can) I needed some new face cleaning wipes because I am out and they are great for my "really bad days" or on my just too dang busy days to do my full routine or if I just get plain icky in the Texas heat and humidity. I look forward to trying them. This may be my favorite item in the box!

Coco hydro coconut water electrolytes in original $ 1.69
I can't say that I have heard of this particular products, but  I do use coconut water sometimes to help get my potassium back up quickly (not the best flavor ever, but it works well) I do think I wish that this was in a "flavor" but I will be happy to keep this in my bag for emergency potassium needs so although I am not excited really, I am going to use it and when I need it I will be very happy that I have it.

All Good Lips tinted lip balm with SPF 18 in Barnabe Rose $3.99
It's a lip balm, it's tinted and it has SPF... you know I love it...and guess what... I haven't opened it yet... my willpower is  getting much better with all these lip balms showing up....but you KNOW that I will break down and open it if I keep looking at it/or thinking about it even...must think of something else lalalalala.....

All totaled my June "Lake House" box came to $ 20.54, which falls a little short of the $25.00 plus $5.00 shipping per month cost of the box, but I think part of the draw of this box is that it gives you an "escape"  and mentally takes you somewhere other than you really are so I am OK with the value being a little short. I will say that I wasn't "jumping for joy" over this box, but it is a box of items that I am happy to have and will certainly use, would not have bought, and am actually looking forward to trying them now that I have them here and I think that is really what subscription boxes are all about so I am happy over all.

Right now Hammock Pack doesnt have discount codes or a referral program, but you can click here----> to try one for yourself Hammock Pack website
