BLUUM TODDLER BOX REVIEW (23 mths box Lets Play, creative play) (+DISCOUNT CODE 50% off)

This is my first Bluum box, I had been considering it for awhile but because they recently "revamped" their boxes and all boxes are now full size boxes instead of the previous sample boxes. The price did increase, but I think it was worth the increase in price... so I finally took the plunge....

Bluum does their boxes "by the age of the child" in months and every month is a different theme. Our box was for a 23 month old boy and the theme was "Let's Play" and encourages "creative" play. When I got mt email telling me my box had shipped it did tell me that the theme was "Let's Play" but no other information. Bluum does not send a detailed info card every month (more on what they do send later) Once your box is delivered you get another email from Bluum that gives a full breakdown of what was in the box and all the product details.
One of the things I am liking about Bluum that I did not know about is that when you review your box items you earn points (like birchbox) once you accumulate 500 points you earn a free month (there are other ways to earn points as well)

Ok so lets get to the goodies in the box....

for baby - M&D - Classic Toy Rainbow Stacker - $7.99
Talk about a classic childhood toy! All the colors of the rainbow are represented by these eight smooth, easy-grasp wooden pieces. Stack them on the solid-wood base, designed with rocking edges for safe and intriguing play.

I will admit that I was kinda "disappointed" to see this in our box because it seemed babish for my almost 2 yrs old....but my little guy disagreed with me...HE LOVES IT, which is odd because we have a couple of the plastic versions (we have lost some rings over time to the Libby girl thinking they were chew toys) but because these are "wood" like his train set he really likes it. We were surprised how long he sat and played with this (we actually got to watch How I met your mother last night while he played) Lesson learned that perhaps I am picking things I think he will like instead of getting things he DOES like to play with.

for baby - Hohners kids - Animal Bell - $5.00

Animal-shaped jingle bells are colorful, have nice sounding, and are easy for children to handle

When my hubby carried this box in the house I could hear the "jingle jingle and thought to my self "oh my, that's not gonna last around here" but once again my little guy decided otherwise. He is really into "sound" right now so even if this is a bit noisy it is completely  perfect for him he played with this until he fell asleep and woke up this morning asking for his "turtle"

for baby - Play Doh - Play Doh Mini 4 Pk. - $13.00

Turn a gray day into a colorful, creative shape-a-thon! Pop open these four mini cans of PLAY-DOH compound and unleash your imagination. Try mixing and matching colors and then mold, shape, press and pat your creations to life! Four 2-ounce cans of PLAY-DOH compound let you mold, shape, press and pat to create colorful forms that you can make again and again! Includes red, yellow, blue and green PLAY-DOH compound. Ages 2 and up.

First of all, I had a HARD time believing this was worth $13, but according to Amazon it was $12.50...evidently "mini Play-Doh is more expensive than the regular size ones...which makes no sense to me at all, but the price is correct...Not much I can say about this that you don't already know...we will add it to our collection and I promise it will get used and he will enjoy it.

this packaging has a book on one side of the box

and a bunny on the other (we haven't opened the box)

for baby - Little Learners - Snuggle Bunny Book & Plush Toy - $13.00

Put bunny and baby to bed with this adorable soft toy and "Bunny's Day" book.
we Have not opened this package up yet (which is why there are two pics, one of each side of the package) My little guy is hard on books (tearing pages) so we keep "real book" put up on shelves he can't reach for now and have the "baby safe" cardboard books down for him. I am sure that we will love this story when we finally open it up and read it, and because the bunny is smaller more than likley it will become a "Libby toy" I TRY to keep her from getting them, but now Tuff Stuff gives them to her so I give up

for baby - Ella's Kitchen - Fruit Smoothies-The Yellow One - $1.29

Made from 100% organic fruit, these pouches are the perfect snack for your little ones. Each pouch gives your baby more than one serving of their neccesary fruit and veggies. Perfection!
I know a lot of mom's don't like it when they get "pouches" in their boxes (any boxes) but I don't mind them...my little guy loves them and they are great for when he needs a snack in the car. If he is happy then I am happy.

for baby - Dapple - Dish Liquid Travel Size - $1.99

Dapple Baby Bottle & Dish Liquid is perfect for safely cleaning baby bottles, sippy cups, pacifiers, and breast pump components. It features award-winning green technology to target milk residue and baking soda to combat odor. Made with all-natural ingredients, It is free of phthalates, parabens, and dyes.

for baby - Dapple Wipes - $3.00

Dapple Toy & Surface Wipes are perfect for cleaning what little hands touch - from toys to high chairs, swings and more. Dapple Toy Cleaner Wipes feature green technology and harness the power of natural ingredients such as baking soda to keep your home and environment a healthy clean.

I am actually very excited for the dapples toy and surface wipes. As most of you know I take a great deal of immunosuppressants to control my AOSD so I can get sick from anyone OR anything at all... these are perfect for when daddy takes Tuff Stuff out and about, not only can daddy wipe down things before the little guy touches them but we can also wipe them down after after they get home before the germs can effect me.

The dish liquid, I am not really sure we "needed" this because I am home-bound and don't get out and about, BUT I guess if we ever get to go on vacation or something I am all set. If nothing else I will use it at home as I have been wanting to try this brand anyway.

Also included was a voucher for 50% off of FabKids, but it is only a girl's clothing service and obviously I have a little boy. I will pass this on to my cousin for her daughter's.

The regular price of a monthly Bluum box is $24.95, but I had a discount code and paid just $16.95. Shipping is free. The value of this box was $45.27 ( I did not include the value of the FabKid voucher in this total) I was over all very pleased with this box, even if it was not things I would have actually purchased myself. I think that the box is a great value for the price.

You can get your own Bluum box by clicking here --->BLUUM you can use code "PAMPERS" to save 50% on your first box (which is an even better deal that I got actually)
